How can I increase the etch factor?
A
  • First of all, stabilization of the liquid quality is essential as one of the factors to increase the etch factor.
  • Increase the etching solution capacity. (For CuCl2 (cupric chloride), increase the HCl setting. For FeCl3, increase the FeCl3 setting. But since the speed increases, one has to check the uniformity.)
  • Change the etching solution from CuCl2 to FeCl3. But the costs will increase, so we will calculate the new cost.
  • Next, we would like to hear from you about etching machine characteristics and respond.
  • Finally, we jointly check the quality from the previous process to the finished quality and clear them one by one.

How can I reduce chemical costs?

For CuCl2

  • Lower H2O2 concentration -> H2O2 use will be reduced.
  • Increase the specific gravity -> The waste liquid collection fee will be reduced. (Valid for offices with waste liquid collection fees.)

For FeCl3

  • Lower the FeCl3 concentration and increase the HCl concentration.
  • Increase the specific gravity -> The waste liquid collection fee will be reduced like with CuCl2. (Valid for offices with waste liquid collection fees.)

What are the benefits of changing from CuCl2 to FeCl3?

  • Increase the etching speed by 10 to 20% over the present by adjusting the settings.
  • The etch factor increases. (It goes up about 1 to 2 compared to copper chloride.)
